Portsmouth, famous for its 800 year
maritime history, is one of the most interesting cities
on England's beautiful south-coast. Portsmouth's historic
Naval Dockyard is one of Britain's leading tourist attractions
welcoming over one million visitors a year and includes
Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory, the world's first iron
warship, HMS Warrior, King Henry VIII's Mary Rose and
the Royal Naval Museum. Portsmouth is also a thriving
seaside holiday resort with a fantastic range of entertainment,
cultural and sporting facilities.
The school is located in the heart
of Portsmouth and in the very best area of the city;
next to the main shopping centre, library and railway
station, theatre and restaurants, and yet is still within
walking distance of the beach and sea-front.
There
are excellent communications by road and rail to London
and its airports (approximately 75 minutes from Heathrow
Airport and Gatwick Airport and only 20 minutes from
Southampton Eastleigh Airport.), and by sea to mainland
Europe.
